AN ANTAKIRINJA MATU-YANKUNYTJATJARA NATIVE TITLE HOLDERS MEETING is to be held at 9.30 am on Tuesday 18 November 2025 at the AMYAC office, Lot 715 Hutchison Street, Coober Pedy SA 5723.
ALL AMYAC MEMBERS, AND ANY OTHER NATIVE TITLE HOLDERS NOT AS YET REGISTERED AS AMYAC MEMBERS, ARE INVITED & ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND.
MEETING PURPOSE:
1. Consultation with the Native Title Holders about, and obtaining the consent of the Native Title Holders for, Antakirinja Matu-Yankunytjatjara Aboriginal Corporation RNTBC (AMYAC) to:
a. execute (sign), and support the registration of, the Antakirinja Matu-Yankunytjtjara Native Title Compensation Settlement Indigenous Land Use Agreement with the State of South Australia;
b. consent to orders for a determination of compensation in the Antakirinja Matu-Yankunytjtjara native title compensation claim (SAD61/2022); and
c. make a revised native title determination application, and consent to the revision of the AMY native title determination (Lennon on behalf of the Antakirinja Matu-Yankunytjatjara Native Title Claim Group v The State of South Australia [2011] FCA 474), to reflect the settlement of the compensation claim and remove extinguishment by pastoral improvements, and other incidental changes.
2. Update the Native Title Holders about negotiations with the Commonwealth government regarding native title compensation for the Adelaide to Darwin Railway and the Woomera prohibited area, including consultation with the Native Title Holders about, and obtaining the consent of the Native Title Holders for, AMYAC to make a compensation application about those matters.
This meeting is for those persons who are native title holders for the Antakirinja Matu-Yankunytjatjara Native Title Determination Area. This includes members of the Antakirinja Matu-Yankunytjatjara Aboriginal Corporation RNTBC and other native title holders with native title rights and interests in this land.
