AMYAC represents native title holders across a substantial landholding in far north South Australia and is responsible for managing native title rights and interests and supporting community outcomes. The organisation administers the AMYAC Indigenous Community Trust and oversees related entities, supporting the delivery of community programs and financial benefits funded through resources sector agreements.

  • Building trusted relationships with members, Elders, native title holders and stakeholders.
  • Leading a small Coober Pedy–based team and ensuring effective service delivery across a dispersed membership base.
  • Representing AMYAC with government, industry and community stakeholders as required.

About You:

You are an experienced executive leader with the capability to operate effectively in a remote, community-focused and culturally complex environment. You bring sound judgement, practical leadership and the ability to balance governance, delivery and stakeholder engagement. Your experience is likely to include:

  • Demonstrated success in a CEO or senior executive role.
  • A genuine commitment to, and respect for, Aboriginal culture and community is essential.
  • Strong governance capability and experience working with a Board.
  • Sound financial management, including budgeting and reporting.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with Aboriginal communities and stakeholders.
  • Experience in Native Title, resources or agreement-based environments is advantageous.
  • Capacity to work effectively in a remote setting and engage across a dispersed community.
