The role of the Freight Drivers is to contribute to the service delivery of the AMYAC RNTBC Coober Pedy Office, through supporting member services by implementing freight services.
- Will work under limited direction in the application of freight services, procedures, policies and guidelines which are established, including intrastate travel.
- Require the application of knowledge and skills which are gained through qualifications and/or previous experience in the Transport Industry.
- Employees will be expected to contribute knowledge in establishing procedures in freight service provision and administration tasks relating to freight services.
- This role is essential to providing seamless freight assistance for members.
- A sound knowledge of program, activity, operational policy or service aspects of the work performed within AMYAC Administration and Freight Service Provision.
- Require skills in managing time, setting priorities, planning and organising their own work.
Selection Criteria
Personal Abilities/Skills
- Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate, and engage with staff at all levels.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Ability and skills of prioritising work activities performed within the workplace.
- Computer literate, ability to use work, outlook, excel etc.
Experience
- Experience in providing freight services support.
- Experience in customer service.
- Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, families and organisations.
- Desirable to have experience in other transport related industries.
Knowledge
- Developing knowledge of statutory requirements relevant to the workplace.
- Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, codes of practice/ethics.
- Knowledge of policies, procedural/operational methods of the workplace.
- Knowledge of AMYAC’s story.
