The role of the senior administration officer is to contribute to the day-to-day service delivery of the AMYAC RNTBC Coober Pedy Office. Support member services through delivering, planning and implementing office administration and service provision.
- This role is essential to providing seamless administrative operating functions.
- Will work under limited direction in the application of service provision, procedures, policies and guidelines which are established.
- Require the application of knowledge and skills which are gained through qualifications and/or previous experience in Administration.
- Employees may receive instruction on the broader aspects of service provision and office operational functions.
- Employees will be expected to contribute knowledge in establishing procedures in service provision and administration.
- Employees will be responsible for managing and planning their own work and that of subordinate staff or volunteers.
- A sound knowledge of program, activity, operational policy or service aspects of the work performed with Administration and Service Provision.
- Require skills in managing time, setting priorities, planning and organising their own work and that of lower classified staff and/or volunteers to achieve objectives.
- Employees will be expected to set outcomes and further develop work methods where general work procedures are not defined.

Personal Abilities/Skills
- High level of interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate, engage and negotiate with staff at all levels
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrate ability and skills of prioritising work activities performed within the workplace.
- Understanding and apply computing concepts.
- Computer literate, ability to use work, outlook, excel etc.
Experience
- Extensive experience in providing high level administration support.
- Experience in administration and reception functions at a senior level
- Experience in customer service.
- Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples, families and organisations.
- Desirable to have experience in project management or group planning and coordination.
Knowledge
- Knowledge of statutory requirements relevant to the workplace.
- Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, codes of practice/ethics
- Sound knowledge of procedural/operational methods of the workplace.
- Knowledge of policies relating to the workplace.
