Important Update from the Trust
17 – 19 NOVEMBER 2026

The recent community meeting held on the 15^th and 16^th September was the largest in attendance of a meeting in AMYAC’s history. Because of the high numbers, and the public holiday in WA Monday 27^th September Fordham Executive Office are still working on processing accommodation reimbursements along with other urgent matters. Program Updates (2026-27)

The 2026-27 Member Benefits Guidelines have been updated, important changes include:

1. The previous Education Program has been expanded into 2 separate programs:
2. Private Education Program: up to $7,500 per child per year for private school fees.
3. General Education Program: up to $2,500 per child/member per year for school, TAFE and other education expenses.

Program Closures

During the year when there has been a very high demand for trust funds, it is necessary to close down some programs in order to keep the essential programs for medical needs, funerals and Education for the AM-YAC People. The following programs have been paused until further notice:

1. Cultural Business and Cultural Education (Return to Country) programs are closed and reopen only once cultural Business has been confirmed later in the year
2. Funeral Travel Assistance (for Non-Member Funerals) is closed until further notice
3. Healthy Living Program is now closed until further notice
